Step 5: Thank-you E-mail
After making a successful purchase, a confirmation e-mail will be sent to the customer and a copy of the message is shown on this tab:

The "Thank you E-mail" tab also allows you to customize this 'thank-you' email and add your own personalized message to your customers.
As clearly instructed on this screen, you must limit your personalization to a replacement of the paragraph entitled <Your Message Here>. Simply over-type the text "<Your Message Here>" and the SellDirect system will automatically include this new text in your thank-you emails.
For your convenience, the lower portion of this screen contains a preview of your finished email so that you can check that you are happy with your insertion. Please note that the text will not automatically change in the lower portion of the screen as you type. But next time you go to the "Thank-you Email" tab, your message will be there instead of the <Your Message Here> part.
Note: Do not be concerned by the various 'dynamic' elements within the email copy (such as {USER_FIRST_NAME}). These dynamic 'placeholders' are automatically substituted with the corresponding information at the time of sending the email.
Once you are happy with your thank-you email, you may proceed to the next step.
Proceeding to the Next Step:
In the bottom-left corner of the main page detail (center screen), you will see a button labeled "Next". Clicking this button navigates you from the current step to the next step (within the SellDirect wizard). As well as progressing you through the script generation process, clicking "Next" also saves your changes up to that particular point.
You will also get a chance to save all of your changes for a particular script at the end of the SellDirect wizard process (in Step 8).
Saving / Canceling your Changes:
If you look at the bottom of this screen (and the screens for the remaining Sell Direct steps) you will see two buttons on the bottom right portion of your screen, "Cancel" and "Save Changes". Their functions are as follows:
"Cancel" Button: This button allows you to return to the main sell direct page without saving any changes you may have just made. If, for example, you change your mind, you can abandon your proposed changes by clicking the "Cancel" button. Only clicking the "Save Changes" button (details of which are below) will you commit your changes.
"Save Changes" Button: This button saves any changes you might have made to the current SellDirect script, and then returns you to the main SellDirect page, which displays the list of existing SellDirect scripts.
