Step 1: Setup

 

Before you can actually create the scripts within the SellDirect wizard, you need to a little groundwork on your own website first (remember, the SellDirect scripts are for inserting pages NOT on your Spoken Network Partner System site, but on an existing website hosted elsewhere - your site or perhaps the site of one of your affiliates).

 

As mentioned in the previous section, you need to create three web pages (if they do not already exist) on your own website. These pages are as follows:

 

1. A Sales Page

If this page does not already exist on the target website, it needs creating. This page is the page on which the product is described, and upon which the SellDirect links and/or buttons are displayed. The SellDirect wizard generates a small script that you will need to insert on this Sales Page wherever you would like the link/button to appear.

 

2. A Download Page

Again, if this page does not already exist, it needs creating. This page is where the customer will be presented with a download link (having completed their   transaction, of course). This is essentially a 'thank-you' page into which some special code will be pasted (again, generated by the SellDirect wizard in Step 8).

 

3. A Failure Page

If not already created, this page too needs putting together. This is a simple page that informs of a failed transaction.

 

 

Once you have created these three pages simply follow the remaining seven SellDirect steps, and you'll have a professional sales process up and running in minutes.

 

 

Proceeding to the Next Step:

 

In the bottom-left corner of the main page detail (center screen), you will see a button labeled "Next". Clicking this button navigates you from the current step to the next step (within the SellDirect wizard). As well as progressing you through the script generation process, clicking "Next" also saves your changes up to that particular point.

 

You will also get a chance to save all of your changes for a particular script at the end of the SellDirect wizard process (in Step 8).

 

 

Saving / Canceling your Changes:

 

If you look at the bottom of this screen (and the screens for the remaining Sell Direct steps) you will see two buttons on the bottom right portion of your screen, "Cancel" and "Save Changes". Their functions are as follows:

 

"Cancel" Button: This button allows you to return to the main sell direct page without saving any changes you may have just made. If, for example, you change your mind, you can abandon your proposed changes by clicking the "Cancel" button. Only clicking the "Save Changes" button (details of which are below) will you commit your changes.

 

"Save Changes" Button: This button saves any changes you might have made to the current SellDirect script, and then returns you to the main SellDirect page, which displays the list of existing SellDirect scripts.
