Sales by Affiliate:

Path, from the left navigation menu: [Reports section] > Sales by Affiliate

Affiliates will almost certainly be one of your largest sources of sales. It is absolutely essential that you monitor which affiliates are 'working' for you, and which are not - and this report gives you just that information.

Once you've identified who your affiliate superstars are, you need to be thinking about trying to duplicate their success, and possibly even rewarding them for their efforts: Call them; thank them; give them an extra percentage point or two on their commissions; take them to dinner (so you can 'pick their brains' and establish the secrets of success!). In short, use this information to increase the overall profitability of your affiliate sales channel.

To load the "Sales by Affiliate" page, in order to view sales figures by affiliate, you need to select the link entitled "Sales by Affiliate" under the Reports section of the left navigation menu, as shown here:

The sales are presented in an easy-to-understand table, with the following columns: Affiliate, Sales, Price, Discount and Commission. The figures are ordered by commission (descending) so that the affiliate earning you the biggest return is right at the top for you to see.

Affiliate

This column displays the name of the affiliate to whom the sales figures relate.

Sales

The "Sales" column displays the number of unit sales for each affiliate.

Price

This is the selling price of the audio book.

Discount

If the audio book has been available with a discount, the value of the discount will appear in this column.

Commission

This column shows the commission you earned on the Affiliate's sales. So, as a guide, if your affiliate is selling a $20 product for you (and there are no discounts applied) then the affiliate would normally take 10% ($2) of your 30% ($6) earnings for the sale. You'll therefore be left with $4 earnings on that affiliate's individual sale.

At the bottom of the table you can also see a total for each column.
