Creating new Sell Directs:
As described in the previous section, in order to create new Sell Direct scripts you need to click on the "Create New" button, found below the "Sell Direct Website Scripts" table.
Once you click on this link, you will be presented with the Sell Direct code generation wizard page, as shown below:

There are eight steps that you need to follow in order to create a new Sell Direct script, and the SellDirect code generation wizard gives you specific instructions as you move through each of the eight steps.
Each step is presented in a different tab, as follows:
Setup
The setup tab offers you an introduction to this powerful sales tool and then instructs you to create three web pages that you will need:
1. A sales page
2. A download page
3. A failure page
Details of these three pages can be found in the following section: "Step 1: Setup".
Title
The title tab contains a search tool for finding the title for which you would like to create a script. Please note that you can only create the sell direct script for one title at a time. Multiple titles will have to be processed one at a time at this moment in time.
Buy Button
This tab presents you several 'buy' button options - you have to choose the button that you like most and would like to appear on your site. You also have the option to create just a text link, if you don't need or want a graphical buy button.
Purchase Page
The Sell Direct system allows you to upload your own header graphic to appear at the top of the Purchase Page (i.e. the page people go to after clicking on the Buy Now link). On this tab you have the option to choose if you want to upload your own header graphic or leave it blank.
Thank you E-mail
After making a successful purchase, a confirmation e-mail will be sent to the customer and a copy of the message is shown on this tab. The "Thank you E-mail" tab also lets you customize a paragraph of this email - to add your own personalized message to your customers.
Download Url
In the "Download Url" tab you need to enter the full url of the download page you created in Step 1 (Setup).
Failure Url
Also, in the "Failure Url" tab you need to enter the full url of the failure page you created in Step 1 (Setup).
Code
The code tab is the final step of the Sell Direct code generation wizard. In this last tab you will be presented with two short scripts that you need to paste into the pages you created in step 1. These scripts are the sales page script and the download page script. The sales page script needs to be pasted into your sales page where you want the Buy Now button or link text to appear. Also, the download page script needs to be pasted into your download page where you want the download links to appear.
We will now review each of the eight steps in detail, in the following sections.
