Creating Graphical Links:

Referring again to Fig. 2.6.1.3 (in section: "Create Links"), you will recall that our search results table contains a number of columns:

Title
Publisher
Primary Category
Price
Get link code

To create a graphical link for a certain audio-book in our results list, you just need to click on the "Graphical" link under the "Get link code" column for the desired title. This will open a new window, shown below:

As you can see in the figure above, you have more options for 'graphical links' than for 'text links'.

Format

You can choose the format of the graphical 'Packshot Photo' link (in pixels) from the following options:

125x125

234x60

468x60

728x90

180x150

Background Color

This where you specify the background of the graphical link. Click on the color picker button from the right side of the background option and a Color Picker window will appear. You just need to select the desired color and it will appear in the box situated on the left of the color picker button, along with the name or code of that specific color. Alternatively, enter the hexadecimal code (if known) directly into the text box - again the color sample will update reflect your selection.

Foreground Color

Here you can specify the foreground color of the graphical link. This is actually the text and border color of the graphical link. Click on the color picker button from the right side of the foreground option and a Color Picker window will appear. You just need to select the desired color and it will appear in the box situated on the left of the color picker button, along with the name or code of that specific color. Again, you can also enter the hexadecimal code (if known) directly into the text box - the color sample will update reflect your selection.

Link Color

This option lets you specify the color of the links (the textual links at the bottom of the graphical advert) . Click on the color picker button from the right side of the link color option and a Color Picker window will appear. You just need to select the desired color and it will appear in the box situated on the left of the color picker button, along with the name or code of that specific color. Again, you can also enter the hexadecimal code (if known) directly into the text box - the color sample will update reflect your selection.

Image Border Color

Using this last option, you can change the color of the image border. Click on the color picker button from the right side of the image border color option and a Color Picker window will appear. You just need to select the desired color and it will appear in the box situated on the left of the color picker button, along with the name or code of that specific color. Again, you can also enter the hexadecimal code (if known) directly into the text box - the color sample will update reflect your selection.

Each time you make a change to the options above, you need to click on the "Generate Links" button for the changes to take place. After you click on this button, the system will create the desired graphical link for you. Then you can copy the html code from the box situated just below the "Generate Links" button.

The graphical link page also contains an example of how the graphical link will look on your website. Each time you make a change and click on the

"Generate Links" button, the example will also change to incorporate your desired options.

Finally, there is a "Close" button at the bottom of this page, for closing the graphical links page and returning to your search results.

Creating Multiple Product (Graphical) Links:

If, from the table of search results, you wish to get a set of graphical links for all the audio books in the list, you need to click on the link named "Generate all as graphical links", found at the bottom of the table with the search results.

Clicking on this link will open another window, as shown below:

Fig. 2.6.1.2.3: The page with graphical links to multiple titles:

This page has the same options found on the page for generating a single link. The one difference is that on this page (for multiple links) you need to click on the "Generate Links" button in order to create all the graphical links.

Once you click on the "Generate Links" button, the page will load a box with the html code for all of your graphical links. Each link is shown underneath in a separate box, with examples of how the links will look on your website.

And the page also holds the "Close" button for closing the window.
