Filtering out categories of audio-book titles from your Partner System site:

In the event that you should wish to filter out certain types of audio-book content, from your site (maybe you wish to focus your site on a narrow band of content, such as 'business titles' or 'Juvenile audio-books' for example), then you can activate category filters within the Partner Administration site in minutes. This tool could perhaps also be used to filter out those categories that are not selling well for you over time - to avoid diluting those titles which are selling well.

To load the Category Filter screen, you must select the 'Category Filter' menu option from the left navigation menu, within the 'Customization' section.

This will load the Category Filter screen, shown below:

The screen that loads, shown above, is a relatively straightforward one. There is a simple list of top-level categories, and two buttons beneath. Starting with the list of categories, next to each category name you will see a check-box.

Checking this check-box (for a specific category title) will DISPLAY that category's titles on your site (along with all those titles in this category's sub-categories also).

Note: By default, all categories are checked, and so all categories' titles are displayed on your site.

Unchecking the check-box will REMOVE that category's titles from your site (again, along with all those titles in this category's sub-categories).

Once you have selected which categories of titles you wish to feature on your site, you may select one of the two buttons at the foot of this screen: These buttons are the "Undo changes" button and the "Save changes" button.

"Undo changes" button: This button discards any changes you made to the Category Filter screen since you last saved your changes.

Note: Saving changes in another section of the Partner Administration site will also save any changes you have made to the Category Filter settings.

"Save changes" button: Clicking this button saves the changes you have made to the Category Filter settings. Changes saved will be immediately visible on your site, so do please take the time to check your settings thoroughly before clicking the "Save changes" button.
