Affiliate List (also used for Creating New Affiliates):
Path, from the left navigation menu: [Reports section] > Affiliate List
As well as listing out the full details of all your affiliate partners (along with their associated sales totals) the Affiliate List report screen is also the starting point for entering new affiliates' details (and editing existing affiliates' account information).
To load the "Affiliate List" page, you need to select the link entitled "Affiliate List" under the Reports section of the left navigation menu, as shown here:

This will load the affiliate list page, shown below:

The Affiliates List is an easy-to-understand table, with the following columns: Affiliate, Created, Email, Commission, First Name and Last Name.
Affiliate This column displays the name of the affiliate as entered on first signing them up (this name may be the affiliate's full name or, equally, could be a company name).
Created The "Created" column displays the date when the affiliate's account was created.
The "Email" column displays the email address of the affiliate.
Commission This column displays the commissions that have been earned for your Partner System by the affiliate.
First Name The first name of the affiliate.
Last Name The last name of the affiliate.
Creating New Affiliates:
This report is doubly important as it also serves as the screen from which you may add new affiliate accounts to your Partner System. Remember, signing many affiliates to your Partner System will most certainly make for a far healthier return.
In the "Affiliate List" report screen, below the table listing your affiliates, there is a button entitled "Create New". Clicking this link will take you to the "New Affiliate" screen, shown in the picture below:
Fig. 2.7.7.3: The "New Affiliate" page used for setting up new affiliate accounts:
The screen that loads contains a number of text input boxes that need to be filled out when you sign up a new affiliate. These boxes include:
Affiliate Name: The name of the affiliate - Can be a full name or company name (or reference) as required.
Website URL: The URL of the affiliate's site. This should ideally be the site upon which the affiliate is promoting your products. Part of your ongoing monitoring should be checking the presentation of your content on affiliates' sites, and so the correct URL here is important, to save time.
Commission Rate: The rate of commission you have agreed with your affiliate. This rate can be anywhere between 1% and 30%. Note that the % agreed is taken from your initial 30% share. In theory you can allocate up to your full 30% share to an affiliate, depending on how much incentive you feel that affiliate deserves/warrants.
First Name: Your contact's first name.
Last Name: Your contact's last name.
Email: The primary contact email address for the affiliate.
Username: The username for your affiliate to use in viewing their own Affiliate Administration mini-site. The Affiliate Administration site contains some detailed reporting tools for the affiliates to use in tracking their own sales performance, as well as additional product link generation tools that the affiliate can use to 'self-serve' additional links for them to display on their site.
Note: Affiliate that generate their own links to use on their site(s) will automatically be generating additional sales to you at the predetermined percentage split that you set up on that affiliate's account. In effect, that affiliate (in using the username and password you specified) is hard-coded to your partner account - you will not miss out on any sales revenues through their 'helping-themselves' to promotional links.
Note: To avoid potential account username duplication you should ensure usernames you set are a minimum 8 characters in length.
Password: The password to be used by the affiliate in conjunction with the username, above, when accessing the affiliate Administration Site.
Note: To avoid potential account password duplication you should ensure passwords you set are a minimum 8 characters in length.
Address: The postal address of the affiliate.
Zip/Postal Code: The zip/postal code of the affiliate.
Country: The country in which the affiliate resides.
Phone: The contact telephone number for the affiliate.
Remittance Currency: The currency in which the affiliate wishes to be paid - currently limited to $US and £GBP. Select the preferred currency by clicking the relevant radio button.
Paypal Email Address: All payments to affiliates are made through Paypal, and as such you must enter a valid Paypal email address to which the affiliate's payments will be sent.
Saving / Canceling Changes:
If you look at the bottom of this screen you will see two buttons in the bottom right portion of your screen, "Cancel" and "Save Changes". Their functions are as follows:
"Cancel" Button: This button allows you to return to Affiliate List page without saving any of changes you may have just made. Only clicking the "Save Changes" button (details of which are below) will you commit your changes.
"Save Changes" Button: This button saves any changes you might have made to the current Affiliate account, and then returns you to the main Affiliate List, which displays the list of affiliate accounts.
Editing existing affiliate accounts:
From the main Affiliate List page, you can very quickly access an individual affiliate's details simply by clicking on that affiliate's name, within the full list of affiliates. On clicking the affiliate's name you will be taken into the affiliate information screen, where you can make any required changes to the fields we ran through, above.
Once all the required changes have been made, it is essential you remember to click the 'Save Changes" button in the bottom-right corner of your screen to commit these changes. The affiliate account details will be updated, and you will be returned to the main Affiliate List page.
